Adjunct Therapies
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is an optional, non-invasive support that may be used alongside counselling for attention, relaxation and self-regulation.
It is a supportive therapy within a broader plan, not a stand-alone treatment for compulsive sexual behaviour or pornography use.
Hypnotic Light Therapy
Hypnotic light therapy may be offered as an optional relaxation-focused therapy where available.
Some clients may find guided sensory relaxation helpful for settling, rest and time away from overstimulation.
Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy
Where available and clinically supervised, hyperbaric oxygenation therapy may be discussed as an optional adjunct within the broader care plan.
Suitability, risks and its role in treatment should be considered individually.
Yoga
Gentle yoga may support breathing, movement, body awareness, routine and relaxation during recovery.
Participation should be adapted to the client’s physical condition and comfort level.
Massage
Massage may be offered as a supportive therapy for general muscle tension, relaxation and reconnecting with the body.
It is not a treatment for compulsive behaviour, shame or trauma, but some clients may find it useful as part of a wider wellbeing routine.
